The Studio

Nestled in the original one horse town of dexter ia

Have you ever been to Dexter? You might have driven past the sign a thousand times on the way to Omaha. There's a Caseys, a post office, and a well known restaurant The Rusty Duck. Then, there's a historical, free standing brick bank with the words CC Photography on the front. That's me!

The Bank of Dexter was built in 1915 and was nearby to the Stuart bank that was robbed by Bonnie and Clyde. My bank has HUGE vaults that could withstand a nuclear bomb and they are still in the building. I will show you around if you would like a tour!

There's a lot of history to see in Dexter, its definitely worth the 30 minute drive outside of Des Moines, Iowa.

About my town...

There was a shootout in 1933 about a mile North of the White Pole Road with the infamous Bonnie and Clyde (and their gang). You can see this landmark at 3291 Dexfield Road, Dexter, IA.

Drew's Homemade Chocolates is also on white pole road on the West end of Dexter. You better check this place out! It's been around since 1927 and is based out of the lower level of their home. What is my favorite? Probably the sea salt chocolate or the chocolate covered chips.

Favorite places for breakfast nearby: Beans and Beignet's in Earlham, The Cup on 2nd in Stuart, and Waveland Cafe in Booneville where I grew up.

Favorite places for dinner: The Rusty Duck in Dexter across from the studio, Los Altos in Stuart. Stuart also has McDonalds and Subway for quick kiddo meals!

Favorite places for coffee: The Cup on 2nd in Stuart, Beans and Beignet's in Earlham.

Favorite places for ice cream or dessert: The Dairy Shoppe in Redfield, Beans and Beignet's in Earlham, The Scoop in Stuart, and Drew's Chocolates in Dexter.

Favorite places to see besides the Bonnie and Clyde stuff: Beaver Lake for fishing in Dexter, IA. Hanging Rock nature park in Redfield, IA.

If you choose to work with me, I'd love to make your memories into lifelong reminders that hang on your walls. I LOVE what I do and it's all about the people I meet along the way.
